Summer Sports Festival

We look forward to welcoming you to our Sport Festival in Munich in June 2024 for our doubles tournament. Come to Munich and be part of the action!

Playing Levels:
 The tournament will be played on 12 courts over four different playing levels (A, B+, B- and C). We particularly look forward to welcoming our female participants to Munich who are welcome to register one level below their usual level for the competition. After the round robin phase, a knock-out tournament will take place. Please register yourself appropriately according to your playing ability. The organising team reserves the right to make changes to participants playing levels in order to offer a fair tournament to all players.

Fairness:
 In order to offer a fair and interesting tournament for all players, we ask that you register yourself appropriately according to your playing ability. The following rules, which also apply to other tournaments, will apply:

1. The level of the doubles pairing shall be defined by the level/results from LGBT tournaments of the stronger player over the last three years. Results from mixed and senator competitions will not be taken into account. Each doubles paring is responsible for registering themselves in the correct playing level. Incorrect registration may result in disqualification from the tournament.
2. Gold medal winners at the large LGBT tournaments over the last three years (200 participants or more, eg. Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin, Eurogames, Gay Games etc.) must also register themselves one category higher.
3. If more than five medals (1st, 2nd or 3rd placed) in total have been won at LGBT tournaments in the last three years, you must also register yourself one level higher.  

Shuttlecocks:
 Levels A, B+ and B- will play with feathered shuttles. Level C will play with plastic shuttles. All shuttles for the competition will be provided.

Registration:
 To successfully register, you will need the name and of your doubles partner. In case you do not have a doubles partner, you may register for a “blind date”. We will do our best to find you a partner (unfortunately, however, this cannot be guaranteed).

During the registration process, you will be asked to enter the name of your badminton club. This information helps us to avoid players from the same club meeting in the early rounds.

A lunch packet is included in the price.

Tournament Details:
 The competition will take place in the hall of the Städtische Berufsschulen, Riesstrasse 40, 80992 Munich. Exact timings for the tournament will be provided to participants in due course.

The organising team reserves the right to make changes to the tournament timings and participants playing levels at any time.
